Welcome to a quirky and fantastic universe. Meet the little baby bird who sets out on an adventure, but realises that the big world out there can sometimes be a little bit frightening. There is also the sheep who decides to jump the fence and run away from home – but it is more fun if you are actually going to be missed. And then there’s the owl Lage, who leaves the dark forest and moves into town. However, it can be hard to get used to the big city crowds, when you are just a forest owl. The films are based on director Eva Lindström’s successful Swedish children’s books, which she has also illustrated. In a strange and wonderfully childlike way, they manage to combine everyday generalities with something fantastic.
