Courgette and his friends win over many hearts in this film about loss and friendship.

Courgette is a nine-year-old boy. When his mother passes away, he is suddenly entirely alone in the world. Raymond, the nice policeman, takes him under his wing and brings him to a foster home in the countryside. It takes some effort for Courgette to get used to his new surroundings, but with the help of some new friends and the arrival of a new girl, Camille, Courgette starts to feel at home, and he learns to accept his fate.
